David Cronenberg a director; I have just seen eastern promise and which I really enjoyed. The story line is very good and it seems both in this movie and History of Violence the plot is spread out and stretched to its maximum to keep the viewers attention.

The Direction is very clearly done the images are clear and well presented all the feelings come from the characters attitude towards each other.

Favourite Music Producers or Engineers would have to be Alan Parsons and Jimmy Page. Alan Parsons Worked on albums such as dark side of the moon at abbey road Studios. I would like to think of myself along the same lines not yet at his standard due to the differences in technology and music preference but the way n which he was a composer musician and engineer allowed a different insight the way in which he could play along with the band and understand exactly were they were going.

Another Abbey roads engineer that I admire is George Martin who put together The Beatles Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, he however was more an engineer than anything else, getting into audio technology in the navy as a radar/sonar operator.

Progress

Currently booking the space and equipment for my experiment/artifacts for my research project. I wrote the method and altered a prestanding questionnaire to my advantage to allow me to test the perception of audio quality. This may sound a little gargled but all shall be explained in the main body of text and once I have some results I will be better able to explain.

Oh my first experiment is the control, which all others shall be tested against to see if modifications to the environment will alter a persons percecption.

Progress

Currently I am mixing the audio tracks together on devil made woman. This incorporates equalisation, compression, reverb and other effects as well as trimming and any other possible change that will give the song a much rounder mix. Form Here I then mixed the tracks together and am currently trying to mix the solo in but with an increased volume to give it an Umph.

I will then bring the vocals in to the equation, they will be eq compressed and any other effects needed. Then I will test the track to a test panel to see if what im doing would be bought.
